Yahoo! Head-to-Head Scoring

I'd like to give an analysis of how Yahoo! Fantasy Sports, Head-to-Head scoring works.  This is based on this years hockey scoring in one of my leagues that I'm in.

This picture here shows my roster, Sheridan Bruins (which is at the left).  My opponent (Blades of Thunder 3) is at the right.

In the players list, there are the stat positions being used in the league.  Yahoo! Public uses two centres, two left wing, two right wing, four defense, two goalies and four bench positions.  One IR position is also used.

Throughout the playing period each players gets points.  In this instance:
Thornton gave me 0 goals, 5 assists;
Morrison gave me 2 goals, 0 assists;
Sturm gave me 1 goal, 0 assists;
Etc...

Adding all that together, I got 12 goals, 13 assists, a minus four (-4) rating, 22 PIM, 15 PPP, etc...
Adding all my opponents stats together, he got 5 goals, 16 assists, a minus (-1) rating, 58 PIM, 10 PPP, etc...

You can tell the difference between a win, loss and tie by the bold.

A win is in bold;
A loss is not in bold;
A Tie is not in bold for either team.

Because I had more goals, power play points, game winning goals, wins, a better goals against average, save percentage and more shutouts (had better stats in 7 of 10 stat categories), I won the week with 7 wins, 3 losses and 0 ties.  These stats are updated minutely (if you have StatTracker) and updated daily otherwise.

At the end of the week, Yahoo! gives me a win-loss-tie record and updates it in my yearly standings..

These standings are for the current week, while the roster above is from a previous week.  I chose a previous week was used to show the difference between a win, loss and tie.  The current week didn't have any losses.

For the record (I've been asked this before) a playing week is from Monday to Sunday on any given week.  However, in the final round of the Yahoo! playoffs, the playing week is two-weeks... from Monday to Sunday and Monday to Sunday (which is September 18 to October 1).

To get into the playoffs, the top 6 teams in the standings get in.
